During your consult, we’ll build a tailored plan for long-term hair reduction and permanent hair removal. Electrolysis is usually the best and most permanent option—and we also offer VIORA IPL when it’s appropriate for your hair, skin, and season.
In Massachusetts, our practitioners are licensed and Board Certified in both Electrolysis and Laser/IPL Hair Removal. That means you get options—and a plan that can include one or both modalities to address your specific hair concerns safely and effectively.
Not every case qualifies for Laser/IPL. We’ll evaluate key factors, including:
If IPL isn’t right for you now, we’ll map an Electrolysis-first plan to keep you moving toward your goals.
Your comfort, safety, and long-term results guide every step.
*We’ll confirm your candidacy during consult.
Not always. Electrolysis remains the only FDA-recognized method of permanent hair removal. We may use IPL when it’s suitable for reduction on the right hair/skin and then finish with Electrolysis where needed.
Recent sun exposure or tanning, certain medications or health conditions, or insufficient hair pigment may delay or rule out IPL. We’ll review all of this in your consult.
We can typically begin after your consult and (if appropriate) a test spot. We’ll outline timing based on your plan and availability.
Note: Individual candidacy for IPL depends on hair, skin, medical history, medications, and recent sun exposure. We’ll review safety considerations during your consult and provide pre/post-care instructions as needed.
